The ElectricSun team has over 200 years of combined experience in all aspects of writing and design. They are communications professionals from Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
WRITERS
John Cowhig
John is the founder of ElectricSun. He has travelled and worked in over 100 countries and brings 30 years of writing, public speaking and management experience to the Solar Energy Community. For 17 years he was based in Switzerland and Holland and worked around the globe teaching, speaking, and writing for the Non-Profit Transcendental Meditation organization. In the 1990’s he returned to Canada and co-founded several companies in land development, technology, and manufacturing.
Douglas Gorney
Douglas Gorney has more than fifteen years of writing, editing, public relations and design experience.
In addition to editing books, Doug has created and edited technical collateral, marketing copy, business communications, instructional documentation and promotional material for and print and the Web.
Garry Foster
Mr. Foster has a BA in Literature, with an emphasis on writing, research, and presentations. His freelance writing has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Vancouver Sun, The Times Colonist, LifeTrack News, The Vancouver Board of Trade, Jaguar Monthly, Canadian Classics and Performance, ITHealth World, Car Collector, Leader Magazine, Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and Corvette Fever, among others.
Launie Gratto
Mr. Gratto has a Master's of Science Degree in Educational Policy and Management, University of Oregon, and a BA in English, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was a college instructor for four years, teaching business and technical writing and public speaking.

Neil Dickie
Neil brings extensive knowledge of writing, publicity and marketing to the company, with 10 years experience as a journalist and award-winning editor, plus several years as a publicist and marketing analyst. He also holds an MBA and an MA in Professional Writing.
He began his career as a daily newspaper reporter in Eastern Canada, and after a year, took a position as a publications coordinator at a small university in the US Midwest.
Don Hardy
Don has been a technical writer for the past nine years and writing professionally for over twenty-five years. His technical work has been sold all over the world as well as being utilized in universities and colleges to establish instructional foundations.
He has developed teaching materials for the IWA in British Columbia and pioneered a first aid manual using flowcharts and keywords to explain the complicated process of rendering the Samaritan skills.
DESIGNERS
Rosalind Cowden
Rosalind Cowden is a professional graphic designer with over 35 years experience in a wide variety of fields including: finance, trade and industry, government, education, health, tourism, agriculture and aerospace.
During this time she has been chief designer on hundreds of projects including trade publications, newsletters, B2B and end user catalogs, trade show materials, brochures, annual reports, magazine advertising, billboards, and complete corporate identity packages including logos.
Marty Howe
Marty Howe, founder and President of Circle Digital Multimedia, has been producing interactive media for the past 18 years.
His experience ranges from designing presentations for a high profile theme park, to developing Flash sites for Nashville recording artists.
Michael Yankaus
Mr. Yankaus is an award winning visual artist with innovative graphic design, marketing, branding, and photography skills. He has worked with internationally recognized clients in the technology, action sport, and political arenas, including JSN Plastics, Brad Bissell Industrial Design, nCUBE, Global Village, Billabong, Gotcha, Hawaiian Legends, Tavarua Island Surf Co., and the Natural Law Party.
TRANSLATORS
Kikuko Funabashi
Ms. Funabashi lives in Osaka, Japan, but resided in Germany for many years. She is a professional German to Japanese translator. She graduated from Kinjo-Gakuin University College in Japan, studied English at the Pacific Coast language school, Vancouver, and German at Trier and Bonn Universities in Germany.
Martha H. Dechow
Ms. Dechow is a professional translator experienced with a wide range of technical subjects including the automotive, foundry, and energy industries. She has translated patent applications, operating manuals for all types of machines, electronics, and mechanical devices. In addition, she has translated educational materials and software from German to English for a leading European publisher.
